PM VFD screw models are a strong fit when air demand changes across shifts, because the compressor can follow real demand instead of wasting energy in unloaded running. Two-stage screw packages suit heavier continuous-duty loads where pressure stability, lower operating cost, and reliable downstream air matter more than the lowest purchase price.
Not ideal: this range is usually not the first choice for very small, occasional tool use. If the application is a garage, repair bench, or short intermittent job, a piston compressor may be easier to place and maintain. For food, medical, electronics, or oil-sensitive processes, check whether an oil-free or treated-air package is more appropriate than a standard lubricated screw compressor.
